The increasing popularity of glamping in Australia is easy to appreciate. It offers a perfect blend of enjoying nature while indulging in modern comforts.
However, if you have a dog, you might find that many glamping sites do not allow pets.
Fortunately, I have compiled a list of the growing number of pet-friendly glamping options across Australia, including pet-friendly sites in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania. Take your pick!

Dog-Friendly Glamping Tents in NSW
NSW offers a variety of pet-friendly glamping options, many of which are conveniently located close to Sydney, making them perfect for a weekend getaway with your furry friend.
South Coast Retreat, Greenwell Point
Located just north of Jervis Bay in Greenwell Point, South Coast Retreat is about a 2.5-hour drive south from Sydney. This retreat welcomes dogs year-round in both their standard and deluxe cabins, as well as in their African-style glamping tents.
Each dog-friendly tent is elegantly furnished with a queen-size bed (plus extra camp beds if needed), a stylish ensuite bathroom, and a small kitchen. Outside, there’s either a daybed or ecofurn chairs on a large deck for relaxation. Stay warm in winter with an electric blanket and heater.
Up to two dogs are allowed inside each glamping tent, though they must not be on the furniture.
Mountain View Farm, Tilba Tilba
Just a short drive from the charming village of Central Tilba, Mountain View Farm is located south of Narooma, around five hours from Sydney. This farmstay is very welcoming to pets, having previously hosted dogs, cats, horses, and birds.
All sizes of dogs are welcome to join you in their cottages and studio, as well as in their two Tent Houses. Both safari tents come with a comfortable queen bed, a private fire pit, and esky. You’ll have access to shared amenities, and brunch baskets can be ordered for your convenience.
Keep in mind that the Tent Houses do not have a fenced yard, unlike the cottages and studio, so leashing your dog is essential. Please inform the property in advance about bringing pets.
Turon Gates Mountain Getaway, Capertee
If you prefer to stay inland, head to Turon Gates Mountain Getaway near Capertee, where you can enjoy a stay amidst stunning bushland. Located approximately three hours from Sydney on a dirt road, this sprawling country property is a true escape.
While only one of their luxury glamping tents allows pets, all cottages, cabins, and campsites are pet-friendly – remember to book directly for the tent. These glamping tents are opulent, featuring their own bathrooms and kitchens, air-conditioning, heating for chilly winters, and spacious decks complete with BBQs overlooking the river and bush.
Mudgee Retreats, Mudgee
Mudgee, known for its stunning wineries, is becoming home to a growing selection of glamping tents that are perfect for a countryside escape. However, only one site currently allows pets: Mudgee Retreats.
Nestled on the grounds of the Parklands Resort & Conference Centre, which also offers some pet-friendly rooms, these luxurious glamping tents feature a four-poster king bed, a modern ensuite, and a private deck. Breakfast is even delivered right to your tent!
Selected tents welcome pet dogs, but direct phone bookings are necessary when bringing a pet along, so check for full rules and any extra fees at that time.
Rosewood Farmstay, Binda
If you’re seeking a truly secluded getaway, consider booking the Tent on the Hill at Rosewood Farmstay. Although it’s just a three-hour drive from Sydney, the location feels remote, nestled between Goulburn and Cowra, making it ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle.
This tent is luxuriously outfitted, featuring a four-poster queen bed (with an additional bed available in a nook), an indoor kitchenette, and bathroom. You can relax on the sunset-facing deck, complete with comfortable seating, a fire pit, and even an outdoor bath. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge.
Hillview Farmstay, Mount Adrah
Hillview Farmstay provides a genuine country farm experience, complete with animal feeding activities and a hearty country breakfast included in each stay. Best of all, pets are welcome at this farm-stay located just off the Hume Highway south of Gundagai, roughly halfway between Sydney and Melbourne.
Pets can join you in all accommodations. You can choose between five cottages or four glamping tents, which include two traditional Safari Tents and two modern Dome Tents. Each tent is fully appointed, featuring a four-poster queen-size bed, a private bathroom, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, and an outdoor deck.
Please note that you should inform the property about your pets when booking. Pets must be fully vaccinated, and there is an additional fee of $30 per pet per night, along with charges for any extra cleaning (pets must remain off the furniture and beds).
The Beltree, Hunter Valley
Recently opened in Belford, the Hunter Valley, The Beltree offers luxurious glamping accommodations that are also pet-friendly!
Each glamping tent, named after native flora, includes queen or king-sized beds, full ensuite bathrooms, kitchenettes, and fire pits. Many of the tents even come with their private hot tubs! Set on a 100-acre property featuring a semillon vineyard and abundant resident wildlife, including the owner’s dogs, this is a wonderful spot for a retreat.
You’re allowed one pet per glamping tent for a fee of $50 per stay. They will provide a dog crate, soap, and “tidy” bags for your convenience.
Camp Jordan, Port Macquarie
A stylish new option on the outskirts of Port Macquarie is Camp Jordan, a campground inspired by Palm Springs. It offers a variety of cabins, airstreams, retro caravans, and glamping tents.
You can choose between double and deluxe glamping tents. Each tent accommodates two guests, with the double featuring a double-sized bed and the deluxe boasting a queen-sized bed in a larger bell tent. Both options are equipped with upscale linens, towels, a fan, chairs, and extra furnishings, although amenities are shared.
Contact the property to check which options are pet-friendly. Keep in mind that final approval for pets rests with management, and an additional cleaning fee of $50 applies.
Ballina Beach Nature Resort, South Ballina
Located on the Far North Coast of NSW, Ballina Beach Nature Resort is a pet-friendly caravan park that welcomes pets year-round. Pets are permitted in a variety of accommodations, including some of their glamping tents, making it an excellent choice for pet-friendly glamping in NSW.
Select from the Couple’s Retreat Luxury Tent (featuring a four-poster queen-size bed and a single loft bed for two children) or the larger Family Adventure Glamping Tent (accommodating up to six). Both tents come with an indoor ensuite bathroom, a full kitchen, and a spacious deck. Dogs are not permitted in the King Studios.
An additional fee of $15 per pet per night applies. During peak seasons, only one pet per tent is allowed. Please inform the property at the time of your booking if you have a pet.
Dog-Friendly Glamping Tents in Victoria
Victoria offers a selection of pet-friendly glamping options that are just a short drive from Melbourne, making them perfect for a weekend escape with your dog.
Euroa Glamping, Euroa
About two hours north of Melbourne, Euroa Glamping features dome glamping tents, each with its own deck equipped with a BBQ. Shared bathrooms and a kitchen/common area are available. For the best experience, it’s advisable to book directly so you can select your preferred tent.
Pets are permitted based on availability, so reach out to request permission in advance. An additional cleaning fee of $30 applies per stay, and pets must be kept on a leash. There are walking tracks right on-site for you and your furry friend to enjoy.
Wonthaggi Park Lane Holiday Park, Wonthaggi
While these glamping pods aren’t exactly tents, the charming glamping pods at Wonthaggi Park Lane Holiday Park are close enough to satisfy your glamping desires. Just a two-hour drive southeast of Melbourne, this caravan park is situated in a historic mining town on the Bass Coast, not far from Phillip Island.
Each cozy glamping pod is ideal for couples (and a dog!), featuring a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, and a couch inside, along with two chairs on the porch outside. Guests can enjoy all the park’s amenities, including an indoor heated pool, camp kitchen, and BBQ area.
Up to two well-behaved and house-trained dogs are allowed per cabin, though any dogs that shed excessively aren’t permitted. Please declare the breed and size of your dog at the time of booking, with an additional charge of $15 per pet per night.
BIG4 Bendigo Park Lane Holiday Park, Bendigo
Wonthaggi is not the only Park Lane Holiday Park that offers pet-friendly glamping pods; BIG4 Bendigo Park Lane Holiday Park also has lovely glamping pods nestled on the eastern side of dog-friendly Bendigo.
These glamping pods are perfect for couples seeking a comfortable camping experience. Each pod features a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom, microwave, kettle, and a bar fridge with freezer. There’s air-conditioning and heating, plus linen and towels are included.
Additional facilities on-site include a swimming pool, fire pits, and walking trails. Up to two dogs are permitted per cabin, and an extra charge of $15 per pet per night applies. Ensure you declare your pets when booking.
Note that pets are not allowed at the Yarra Valley Park Lane Holiday Park or their glamping pods.
Wakiti Creek Resort, Kotupna
Located in northern Victoria, about a 40-minute drive east of Echuca, Wakiti Creek Resort offers various pet-friendly accommodations, including cabins and teepees.
Five teepees are available, featuring raised wooden floors, lighting, and enough mattresses to comfortably sleep up to six. You’ll need to bring your own bedding, but these teepees are quite affordable, comparable in price to some campsites.
Each teepee also has its own kitchen/BBQ area, and communal amenities and a campfire are nearby. A 1.2 km walking track along the creek is perfect for walks with your dog, and there’s even an area for them to swim off-leash.
Dog-Friendly Glamping Tents in Queensland
I’ve finally found a dog-friendly glamping tent available in the sunny state of Queensland!
Tamborine Mountain Glades, Tamborine Mountain
Tamborine Mountain area in the Gold Coast hinterland is fabulous, and now there’s an excellent dog-friendly glamping option so you can enjoy an extended stay with your pooch.
At Tamborine Mountain Glades, formerly Cedar Creek Lodges, both their two-bedroom Creek Lodges and Woodlands Glamping Tents are pet-friendly. You can choose between glamping tents for couples or family-sized tents, including luxurious options with outdoor jacuzzis or private plunge pools.
Up to two dogs are welcome in the self-contained tents for an additional fee of $90 per dog. Enjoy bushwalks to Cedar Creek Falls or a refreshing dip in Cedar Creek with your furry friend right on the property.
Dog-Friendly Glamping Tents in South Australia
Experience a delightful stay in a dog-friendly glamping tent in South Australia, whether in the heart of Adelaide or in the Coonawarra wine region in the southeast.
Coonawarra Bush Holiday Park, Coonawarra
On my road trip to South Australia with my dog in 2019, I was thrilled to stay at the glamping options offered by Coonawarra Bush Holiday Park. This rustic park, conveniently located next to a vineyard about 15 minutes north of Penola, features multiple dog-friendly glamping alternatives.
I opted for an affordable Standard Glamping Tent, complete with a king-size bed, electric blanket, kettle, and esky. However, you can also choose from other unique glamping options like the Stargazer Glampers, Outback Glampers, and Moongazer Glampers, some equipped with private ensuite toilets right next to the tent. Each tent has its own outdoor seating and fire drum, while shared facilities include a large camp kitchen and multiple bathrooms.
Pet dogs are welcome in the tents as long as they have their own bedding. An additional fee of $25 applies per stay. There are also caravan and camping sites around the dam, so expect the company of other dogs during your stay.
Belair National Park Holiday Park, Adelaide
Located in the unique Belair National Park, the Belair National Park Holiday Park offers not only sites and select cabins for pets but also accommodates dogs in certain glamping tents.
The Glamping Ensuite Tents, also referred to as Bungalows, are ideal for couples traveling with their fur babies. Each tent features a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, TV, and reverse-cycle air conditioning – perfect for any season! You also have your very own BBQ on the deck.
When booking, make sure to select the Dog-Friendly tents or inform the staff of your dog’s presence, as not all glamping tents are pet-friendly. Remember, dogs are not allowed on the furniture, so be sure to bring their own bedding.
Dog-Friendly Glamping Tents in Western Australia
For a pet-friendly glamping experience in Western Australia, head to the southwest, where you can find several glamping accommodations that welcome pets.
Yallingup Lodge Spa Retreat, Yallingup
The Margaret River region is a fantastic escape from Perth, and you can enjoy it with your pet at the adults-only Yallingup Lodge Spa Retreat.
Offering a designated Pet Suite, the lodge also welcomes pets in their glamping tent. The tent is beautifully set in a serene, private space under pine trees, elegantly styled with a queen-sized bed and includes a rustic open kitchen and outdoor shower.
A la carte breakfast is available daily, and while you indulge at the day spa, your furry friend can enjoy their own grooming treat booked in advance. Direct bookings are required.
Busselton Villas & Glamping Village, Busselton
North of the Margaret River region lies Busselton, a charming city just a 2.5-hour drive south of Perth, boasting numerous off-leash dog beaches. You can stay with your furry companion at Busselton Villas & Glamping Village.
Although pets are not permitted in the villas, they are allowed in the glamping tents. Both two-person and four-person tents are available, beautifully appointed with beds, indoor seating, and a kitchenette. You’ll also have access to shared kitchen and bathroom facilities and be just a few minutes’ walk from the beach.
Pets are allowed inside the tents, and the lodge provides beds, bowls, and pet blankets. You can bring up to two small to medium-sized dogs, but only pets over 12 months old are permitted for an additional charge of $20 per pet per night. Direct bookings are required for pet-inclusive stays.
Stargazers, Pemberton
If you prefer a stay amidst the forest rather than at the beach, consider booking at Stargazers, located halfway between Pemberton and Nannup, about a 3.5-hour drive south of Perth.
Along with six cottages, there are three luxurious glamping suites, each positioned next to the lake with its very own private jetty. Inside the spacious bell tent, you’ll find a king-size bed and potbelly fireplace, while each suite boasts a rustic ensuite with a heated rain shower, an outdoor bath, and a camp kitchen with BBQ facilities.
Make sure to request permission for your pet in advance. An extra fee of $50 applies for pet stays.
Dog-Friendly Glamping Tents in Tasmania
Lastly, I’ve found a dog-friendly glamping tent in Tasmania for a luxurious camping experience.
The Top Paddock, Yolla
The award-winning glamping tent at The Top Paddock is situated on a farm in northwestern Tasmania, surrounded by bushland, providing a secluded escape from other tourists.
Inside the beautifully decorated luxury yurt, you will find a cozy queen-size bed and a wood-fired stove with a chimney, as well as everything needed for outdoor cooking. While there’s no shower, a pre-filled bath warmed by a wood fire is available, along with a traditional “outhouse.”
Pet dogs are welcome, with something special hidden inside for them in the tent. The hosts kindly ask you to keep your dogs under control, especially since there are sheep and goats on the property.
