Are there countries you can visit without Covid-19 border restrictions? Traveling today can be quite confusing due to vaccination requirements, Covid-19 testing protocols, and quarantine measures. Fortunately, there are three tropical countries that are currently welcoming tourists without the need for testing, quarantine, or Covid-19 vaccinations.
Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is fully open to tourists, without any testing, quarantine, or vaccination requirements. While travelers are not obligated to present a negative Covid-19 test to enter the Dominican Republic, airlines may still require proof of a negative test for boarding. Currently, face masks are mandatory in public spaces and on public transportation. Restaurants are operating but with limited seating, and bars and nightclubs remain closed. Additionally, there is a curfew in effect throughout the country.
Mexico
Mexico is also open to tourists without the need for testing, vaccinations, or quarantine. However, the country is experiencing a higher number of Covid-19 cases and is on the red list for some nations, including the U.K., potentially leading to quarantine upon return. Curfews are in place in certain areas, and wearing masks indoors is required.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica welcomes tourists without any testing, quarantine, or vaccination requirements. The only stipulation is that all visitors must have travel insurance to cover the costs of medical care and quarantine related to Covid-19, should they require it during their stay.
Entry requirements around the world are changing rapidly, so it is advisable to consult with your travel advisor, airline, and the government website of the country you plan to visit.
