Tourism North Bay, in collaboration with the City of North Bay, Downtown North Bay & Waterfront, The Artisans Way, and Creative Industries, is thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new outdoor winter market that will turn downtown into a festive hub of holiday spirit. This exciting winter experience will take place on the first four Saturdays in November (2, 9, 16, and 23) from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, making it an essential destination for both residents and visitors.
Located in the North Bay Museum parkette at the heart of Downtown North Bay, the market will feature:
- The Artisans Way, a local market showcasing unique, handcrafted goods perfect for holiday shopping
- Christmas Mini Train rides on The Amazing Train
- Screenings of locally filmed Christmas movies
- Live music and cultural programming
- Holiday-themed light displays
- Visits from Santa Claus
- A variety of other festive activities that embody the spirit of the season.
“This new outdoor winter market has been created by local partners to enhance the vibrancy of Downtown North Bay and to support our local artisans, restaurants, and businesses during the busy holiday season,” said Tanya Bédard, Executive Director of Tourism North Bay.
“We aim to create a warm and festive atmosphere for people of all ages, inviting visitors and residents to explore the light displays and events, shop at the artisan market, enjoy seasonal treats, and soak up the festive culture under sparkling lights.”
This initiative is made possible through generous support from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario and Destination Northern Ontario, in partnership with all project collaborators.
