A Review of The Office Experience – Traveling-Pari

Date:

Are you a fan of the TV series “The Office”? Do you laugh every time Jim pulls a prank on Dwight? Do you daydream about experiencing an office romance like Jim and Pam’s? If your answer is yes, then you’ll love “The Office Experience,” an engaging and interactive celebration of the show.

I’ve been a devoted fan of “The Office” for years. It’s always been one of my comfort shows, and I binge-watched the entire series on Netflix. It provided me with comedic relief during the lockdowns of 2021. So, when I was presented with tickets to the immersive experience, I jumped at the chance. While my admission was sponsored, all my opinions about the experience are heartfelt and genuine.

Is the Premium Ticket Worth It?

If you’re in Toronto, you can snag tickets for “The Office Experience” through this link. The experience is hosted at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre. I highly recommend opting for the Premium ticket because the lines can be exceptionally long, especially on weekends—this is no surprise given the show’s huge following. The Premium ticket will save you a lot of waiting time by allowing you to skip the line. Additionally, it comes with a personalized Dunder Mifflin Employee Badge and a complimentary gift. Below is a picture of my Employee ID; I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw I was labeled as “a security threat.”

Once the experience wraps up, be sure to visit the gift shop to claim your free gift. I received a “Finer Things Club” diary—nice, but deep down, I wished for a Dunder Mifflin coffee mug instead.

On the Way to the Office

After receiving your Employee ID (exclusive to Premium ticket holders), you enter the waiting area where a trivia game about “The Office” awaits. The quicker you answer correctly, the sooner you can enter. But don’t be fooled; there is still a line to get into the actual office. Thankfully, the wait isn’t dull, as the hallways are filled with glass display cases showcasing real props from the show and character resumes. Dwight’s resume, as expected, was hysterical!

The Office Experience Setup

As soon as you step into The Office, the first thing that catches your eye is “Pam’s Desk.” You get to explore the reception area and snap pictures while pretending to answer the phone. Pam’s desk is adorned with many post-its—see if you can find the one that says “Michael touched me again,” courtesy of Ryan. LOL.

Directly across from Pam’s Desk, you’ll recognize Jim’s Desk, which features pictures of Jim with Pam and even the “fake Jim” posing with her!

Then there’s Dwight’s desk, full of comedic touches. Look closely, and you’ll find an open chatbox where Jim is hitting Dwight with one of his classic pranks. Peek inside the top drawer and find a stapler submerged in jelly—poor Dwight!

Next up is “Michael Scott’s Office,” where visitors line up for a photo op in the World’s Best Boss’s chair.

There’s so much more to see in The Office. You can check out the HR office, the much-despised Toby’s Desk, the cafeteria, and even attempt to solve Stanley’s crossword puzzles. Personally, my favorite part was recreating the infamous Chilli Spill scene from the show. Remember when Kevin drops that enormous pot of chili? You can relive that moment with the Chilli setup shown below. It was genuinely hilarious!

The Office Experience – The Verdict

If you are a true fan of “The Office,” this experience is something you will thoroughly enjoy. You can reminisce about and even reenact some of the show’s classic scenes. I recommend choosing a time slot in the middle of the week for a less crowded experience, allowing for better photo opportunities and more time to explore. If you plan to visit over the weekend, definitely go for the Premium ticket to save time, and the personalized Employee Badge makes for a great souvenir.
