Once again, San Diego has been recognized as one of the top two large cities in America in the annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
This prestigious recognition ties with San Diego’s highest-ever ranking in this well-regarded survey, matching last year’s achievement. It places our city ahead of other popular U.S. destinations such as San Francisco, New York, and Miami, with only Chicago receiving a higher ranking.
The magazine’s readers also expressed their admiration for San Diego in several individual categories, naming seven local hotels, five resorts, and two spas as among the best in the nation.
Remarkably, San Diego increased its accolades in the hotel category significantly, celebrating recognition for more properties than last year, when three hotels were honored.

Andaz San Diego, No. 3 in Southern California
