The Emerald Isle Secures Seven Places in Condé Nast Traveller’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards for Top 25 Resorts in Europe
Condé Nast Traveller announced the winners of its 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards earlier this week, with a hotel in County Limerick taking the title of Best Resort in Europe.
Readers cast over half a million votes in various categories to share their opinions on the top travel experiences worldwide.
This year marked the 37th annual Readers’ Choice Awards from Condé Nast Traveller, unveiling the finest global travel experiences at this moment.
Best Resort in Europe – A Luxurious Escape in the West of Ireland
Adare Manor in County Limerick earned the top position in the resorts category of this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
Condé Nast reviewer David Jefferys commented, “A grand manor house set on hundreds of acres, a roaring river, and a picture-perfect village nearby – there truly is something for everyone here, all in a relaxed atmosphere.”
Notably, this stunning hotel in County Limerick wasn’t the only Irish establishment to make the list; six other Irish hotels also featured.

In addition to Adare Manor, several other remarkable Irish hotels received recognition.
Ashford Castle in County Mayo secured the fourth spot, while the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Doonbeg in Clare came in fifth place. Sheen Falls Lodge in County Kerry ranked sixth, and Dromoland Castle Hotel and Country Resort in Clare took the eleventh spot.
