A body has been discovered during the search for a missing British man in Turkey.
Ben Crook, a 32-year-old from Wales, was last seen on September 25 at the Seven City Hotel resort in Antalya. His family subsequently made a heartfelt plea for assistance online.
After an extensive search, a family member announced on social media that a body had been found by the search team.
Authorities believe that the body is that of the missing Briton.
The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) confirmed the heartbreaking discovery on Saturday, stating: “We are assisting the family of a British man who has passed away in Turkey, and we are in touch with local authorities.”
Ben’s family had launched an urgent appeal last month, revealing his roots in Abertridwr, Caerphilly County Borough.

They noted that he was last seen in Kaleici, which is located at the heart of Antalya.
When he went missing, Ben was wearing a black Versace shirt, black shorts, and white Nike trainers adorned with a blue tick.
This tragedy occurred alongside the ongoing search for a prominent British climber and her American friend, who vanished after attempting to climb a 23,000-foot mountain under perilous conditions.
Fay Manners, 37, and Michelle Dvorak, 31, have not been seen for over two days after ascending the formidable Chaukhamba mountain in northern India.
The leader of the rescue team informed The Sun that they plan to follow the same climbing route on Sunday.
He stated: “Numerous agencies are coordinating efforts in this operation.”
“The Indian Army, Indian Air Force, District Administration, State Administration, alongside my team and the State Disaster Response Force, are working together.”
“We hope to rescue these two women as quickly as possible.”
In a separate incident, another British holidaymaker went missing, and his body was found in September.
The individual, whose identity has not been revealed, is believed to have gotten lost while hiking in southern Lanzarote, and was later discovered at the entrance of Los Ajaches, a protected natural park.
This incident occurred just weeks after a British hiker was found dead and another went missing in Mallorca during a storm.
The deceased hiker’s body was reportedly located near the area where the police had initiated their search on the beautiful island of Spain.
