If convenience is a priority, you may want to avoid Ganh Dau. While beautiful, it is far from the main attractions, more isolated, and less developed.
Duong Dong is considered a safe neighborhood in Phu Quoc, boasting a well-developed infrastructure and frequent police patrols. Many tourists feel secure in this central area. Overall, Phu Quoc is regarded as a safe travel destination.
Beauty is subjective, but I personally loved the Sonasea area. Its beaches and waters are clean, calm, and picturesque, blending beautifully with the surrounding greenery.
Yes, various areas and towns in Phu Quoc are walkable since traffic is significantly quieter than in Vietnam’s major cities. However, getting around the island and to neighboring towns typically requires a taxi or bus.
After three weeks, I still wasn’t ready to leave. If you’re on a schedule, I suggest spending between 3 to 5 days in Phu Quoc. Three days will cover key attractions and beaches, whereas five days allow for more in-depth exploration.
