Established in 1976, this beloved restaurant continues to serve goulash, beef over rice, homemade meatloaf, and an enticing selection of pies every weekday for lunch.

In recent years, the restaurant’s décor has transformed from the old ad-covered tables and blue padded chairs to a more modern black-and-white bistro style. However, all the classic favorites—such as chicken fried steak and Polish sausage with sauerkraut—remain on the menu.

One of the standout dishes at Eunice’s is The Soup Bowl—a generous serving featuring fluffy cornbread topped with black-eyed peas, turnip greens, and your choice of either ham or grilled chicken. The selection of sides, including sweet pea salad, cottage cheese, sweet and sour coleslaw, glazed carrots, and cucumber salad, remains as popular as ever.

Eunice’s has also expanded its offerings to include one of the simplest breakfast menus in the River Valley. Diners can select their favorite combinations without complication, choosing what they want to eat.

Customers can choose three items for $6.99, four for $7.99, and five for $8.99—everything except ham, which costs an additional dollar. The available options include two eggs prepared any way, sausage patties, bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits with jelly or gravy, pancakes, or toast. It’s straightforward and fuss-free.

You can expect your meal to be prepared just as you would at any traditional diner—perfectly grilled ham, over-easy eggs, crispy hashbrowns, and bacon. Beverages such as apple, orange, or tomato juice are available, along with coffee or milk to accompany your meal.

The only other breakfast option available is a two-egg omelet. No matter which ingredients you choose, the price is $6.99, and it comes with hashbrowns, biscuits, and gravy.

Don’t expect to see an extensive breakfast menu; the team at Eunice’s knows they have a winning combination and prefer to keep it simple. Breakfast is a welcome addition to this cherished lunch spot, and even though it’s only offered on weekdays, it’s a fantastic place to enjoy eggs or sip coffee while reading the news before tackling your workday.
