Ugh… the grind of earning a living
A travel blog typically thrives on travel experiences, right? Unfortunately, not everyone has the privilege of being a globe-trotter or a professional traveler. In reality, many of us are clocking in for our day jobs, counting every hard-earned randela, and eagerly anticipating the next long weekend – which always seems just out of reach. We dream of exploring far-off places, but our closest encounter with an exotic locale often comes from watching the latest travel docuseries on Netflix from the comfort of our couches. Yes, my friends, it’s not always glamorous or adventurous. For many of us, a day job is a stark reality. How dull!
Living in a world where vacations are non-existent or limited to paltry leave days results in a rather basic travel experience. Picture a scenario where vacations are like elusive unicorns – everyone talks about them, but few actually get to experience one. This is the reality for many who struggle to secure those coveted paid time off days. I can personally relate to this, but I’m working on changing that. Some employers (not all, but some) seem to view taking leave for more than a day as if it were a journey to another dimension. While others are busy sharing snapshots of their adventures in Europe or Mauritius, we find ourselves navigating the endless maze of emails in our offices.
