Relaxing at Los Rapidos: The Ideal Place to Unwind and Float
Before heading back downstream, we took a calming break at Los Rapidos (the restaurant), savoring refreshing drinks and enjoying a swim in the crystal-clear waters surrounding this chill spot. We conveniently secured our kayaks in a small natural cove right next to the restaurant, making it easy to relax and appreciate the moment.
What sets Los Rapidos apart is its diverse array of inviting spaces to relax. Whether you prefer lounging in a hammock gently swaying over the water, sitting on rustic wooden benches along the water’s edge, or simply floating in the tranquil lagoon, there’s a perfect spot for everyone. One of the highlights of this location is the natural water flow that resembles a river more than a lake, offering a fun way to float downstream. You can stroll to the far end of the park, where the current will gently guide you down the channel, allowing you to drift blissfully with the water. Once you reach the other end, it’s easy to step out and walk back to your starting point, ready to float again—no kayaks required.
This leisurely floating experience is a fantastic way to enjoy Los Rapidos without the need for renting any equipment. The availability of life vests makes it especially family-friendly, providing peace of mind for those visiting with children. It’s an ideal way to spend the day immersed in nature’s beauty, whether you’re seeking adventure or simply looking to relax.
