My FluenDay Review
Embarking on the adventure of learning a new language can be quite a roller coaster—sometimes exhilarating, other times perplexing. When I discovered FluenDay, I was intrigued to see if it could transform the learning experience into something far less tedious. Spoiler alert! It has some appealing features, but like every app, it includes a few quirks.

FluenDay is a language learning app catering to speakers of Spanish, French, German, and English. You can access it on your smartphone (available on Google Play and the App Store) or through their website for a larger viewing experience.
With an impressive 4.8 rating and 42,000 reviews on Google Play, it’s evident that users appreciate what FluenDay offers. The app emphasizes teaching languages in context, meaning you’ll learn to communicate like native speakers do in everyday situations, rather than just memorizing vocabulary lists.

The Features
FluenDay comprises four main sections: Clips, Courses, AI Tutor, and also eBooks and Games. Let’s detail each:
FluenDay – Clips
This is by far my favorite aspect of FluenDay. The Clips section is loaded with over 3,000 short clips from movies and TV shows, making learning feel more like binge-watching Netflix rather than studying. The clips include context notes, ensuring you learn not only the meanings of words but also how they are applied in various situations. At the end of each lesson, there’s a brief dialogue session where you can practice what you’ve learned—it’s an enjoyable way to rehearse without feeling like you’re really rehearsing.
FluenDay – Courses
The Courses section features more traditional lessons, but they are still bite-sized and easily digestible. These lessons guide you through vocabulary and grammar, and for those learning English, an AI presenter reads your responses back to you, aiding in pronunciation. Although they offer flashcards, quizzes, and extra exercises for reinforcement, the AI presenter feature is currently only available for English learners, with plans to expand to other languages soon.
FluenDay – AI Tutor
If you’re studying English, the AI Tutor serves as your personal language partner—without the awkwardness of conversing with a real person. It enables you to practice specific dialogues and provides feedback on your performance, along with tips for improvement. Currently, this feature is exclusive to English learners, but more languages are set to be added.
FluenDay – eBooks and Games
This section caters to readers and gamers alike. It features popular classics in their original languages, offered in both text and audio formats. The integrated dictionary is useful for tricky words, and you can save words for later review. The mini-games are enjoyable and serve as a fun way to reinforce what you’ve learned, making studying feel less daunting.
How Much Does FluenDay Cost?
FluenDay provides several subscription options, allowing you to choose one that suits your budget and commitment level. Here’s the pricing structure:
- Monthly Plan: $9.99, billed monthly. This plan is excellent for testing the app, but be aware that it may become more costly over time.
- Annual Plan: Currently available for $49.99, which is 50% off and billed once a year after a 7-day free trial. This option makes sense if you intend to use the app long-term and is more budget-friendly compared to the monthly plan.
- 6-Year Plan: $71.99, a one-time fee for six years. This plan is the most economical if you’re committed to long-term language learning, locking in a very low rate.
No matter your commitment level, there’s a plan that meets your needs.
Can I Get a Refund?
If you change your mind after purchasing FluenDay, there’s good news—you’ll have a 7-day money-back guarantee for any purchases made through the website. This gives you ample time to decide whether FluenDay is suitable for you.
For in-app purchases, the refund process is slightly different. You’ll need to check the help section under “How do I request a refund?” for specific instructions.
If you encounter any issues or have questions, you can reach out to their customer support team at support@fluenday.com.
Final Thoughts
Overall, FluenDay is a delightful app to use and provides an engaging alternative to traditional language learning methods.
In my opinion, the Clips feature alone is worth a try. Although it’s not perfect (no app is), I look forward to seeing how it evolves and which new features they implement. If you’re in search of a novel way to learn a language, FluenDay could be the perfect starting point for you.
