The Firenze Rocks Festival is set to return in 2024! Next June, during its fifth edition, music will once again take center stage in the delightful summer of Florence.
The festival organizers have already announced the first headliners: Tool will take the stage at Visarno Arena on Saturday, June 15, 2024, and Avenged Sevenfold will perform on Thursday, June 13. More exciting acts will be revealed in the coming months, so be sure to stay tuned for updates!
The Firenze Rocks Festival is undoubtedly one of the most significant summer music events in Tuscany, Italy, and Europe. Over the past four editions, the Visarno Arena in Florence has hosted remarkable performances that have drawn thousands of fans from across the country.

Thanks to incredible lineups, tickets for the past three editions sold out within minutes. The Visarno Arena has welcomed unforgettable performances from world-renowned bands and artists, including Green Day, The Cure, Tool, Aerosmith, Placebo, Eddie Vedder, System of a Down, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, and Ed Sheeran, with each show drawing in an audience of fifty thousand.
Firenze Rocks 2024 Lineup: Artists and Dates

June 13: Avenged Sevenfold
Avenged Sevenfold will headline the festival on June 13. Known as one of the leading bands in the new wave of American heavy metal, they originated in Huntington Beach, California, in 1999. Their name is derived from a biblical reference; in the fourth chapter of Genesis, Cain, condemned to exile, is warned that anyone who seeks revenge by killing him will be “punished sevenfold.”
Bowling for Soup and Cemetery Sun will also be performing alongside Avenged Sevenfold on June 13.
June 15: Tool
Tool is the first headliner announced for this year’s Firenze Rocks. This Californian quartet, pioneers of progressive metal, will grace the Visarno Arena on Saturday, June 15, 2024, delivering an unforgettable performance in Italy during their European Tour. This marks their return to the Visarno Arena after five years.
dEUS will join Tool on stage on June 15. The Belgian rock band, hailing from Antwerp, promises to bring their unique sound—a blend of rock, punk, blues, and jazz—to Florence for the first time.
The lineup for the day will also feature The Struts and Night Verses.
Where to Buy Tickets for Firenze Rocks 2024
Tickets for Firenze Rocks 2024 can be purchased online. The official sites for buying tickets include:
Create an account, select the event, specify the number of tickets you wish to purchase, and choose your delivery method—either home shipment or collection at the venue on the event day. Lastly, select your payment method.
You can also download the festival’s official app available on the App Store or Google Play to access ticket presales, which begin the day before general sales.
Ticket Prices
Prices start at:
- June 13: Avenged Sevenfold, Bowling for Soup, Cemetery Sun, and more to be announced. Tickets start from €57.50. General sales began on February 21 at 11:00 AM.
- June 15: Tool, dEUS, The Struts, and Night Verses. Tickets start from €74.75. General sales began on December 21 at 11:00 AM.
The Abbonamento, a pass for all days, is currently not available for purchase.
Different Types of Tickets Available
There are various ticket options: PIT 1 tickets (closest to the stage), Posto Unico tickets (General Admission), VIP tickets, and Abbonamento (pass for all 4 days).
The colors (orange, green, blue, yellow, red) associated with the tickets indicate the entrance door you must use.
Note that all tickets—PIT 1, GA, VIP, and Abbonamento—are standing-room only. There are no seats available at the Visarno Arena for the festival.
We strongly advise against using third-party sites that resell tickets at inflated prices.
On the day of the event, there will be a ticket office at Piazzale delle Cascine where you can purchase any remaining tickets if you haven’t bought them earlier. Accreditation can also be obtained here. The opening hours will be announced a few days before the event, and the ticket office will close at the start of the last concert of the day.
Gates open at noon.
What VIP Rocks Party Tickets Include
The VIP Rocks Party Pack, priced over €300 depending on the show, includes:
- 1 PIT Ticket (standing) granting access to an exclusive area near the stage.
- Fast Lane: a dedicated entrance separate from the others.
- Reserved parking space (1 spot per order containing one or more tickets).
- A standing buffet before the show from 5 PM to 9 PM in a reserved area at the Ippodromo del Visarno.
- Open Bar from 5 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Reserved restroom access.
- 1 limited edition merchandise item.
- Laminated Pass.
Those who purchase a VIP Rocks Party ticket will receive an email a few days prior to the event with details on ticket pickup and parking information.
Reselling Tickets or Changing Names
According to Italian law, all tickets are personalized. Every ticket will feature the name and surname of the buyer. At the entrance, security will require a valid ID matching the name on the ticket for verification.
If you are unable to attend the event, you have the option to resell the ticket or change the name through the official ticket outlets (Ticketmaster, Ticketone, or Vivaticket) where you purchased your ticket. Headline Artists for Firenze Rocks 2024
Tool
Following a tour that spanned the United States and included stops in major European cities like London and Stockholm, the band formed in LA in 1990, led by former Marine Corps aspirant Maynard James Keenan, will return to Florence after their last performance five years ago. The four-time GRAMMY Awards® winners also feature Danny Carey (drums), Justin Chancellor (bass), and Adam Jones (guitar).
Getting to the Firenze Rocks Festival
Visarno Arena is located just over two kilometers from the Santa Maria Novella train station, making it easily accessible from the historic center. Once in the city, public transport is highly recommended, especially the tramvia.

The tram stops to reach Visarno Arena are “Cascine” and “Paolo Uccello”, both a five-minute walk from the main entrance of the arena. On concert days, the tram services run until 2 AM.
By Bus
From the Firenze SMN train station, take the Ataf 17c bus line towards Cascine and get off at the “Cascine” stop. The average journey duration is about 15 minutes. On concert days, the number and frequency of all public transport services are increased.
You can also directly reach the Visarno Arena by bus from many Italian cities via Eventinbus, which offers very competitive rates.
By Car
As the arena is centrally located in Florence, we strongly recommend using public transport. For those driving to Florence, we suggest parking in the surrounding areas, such as Isolotto on the opposite bank of the river (then walking across the pedestrian bridge to the arena) or utilizing the car parks at the last stop of the Tramvia “Villa Costanza” in the Scandicci area.
By Train
Florence is easily accessible by train via Trenitalia or Italo during the day, conveniently timed for the event. However, please note that depending on your city of departure, there may be no night trains available to bring you back home. In such cases, planning an overnight stay in the city would be advisable.
