During our year of travel, we planned to spend three months in Taiwan. Finding suitable accommodations was challenging, so we opted to stay at the Aloft Taipei Beitou for a few weeks. We chose this hotel due to its excellent location, reasonable price, and availability.

The Ambiance of Aloft Taipei Beitou
As soon as you enter the lobby of this mid-range hotel, you’re greeted by a spacious and modern atmosphere. The lobby features a pool table, ample lounge space, and a bar area. It has a welcoming, family-friendly vibe, where you can often find parents enjoying cocktails while their children play freely.

On weekends, the lobby buzzes with energy, hosting live music and guests gathering to watch soccer on the big screens.
The Room at Aloft Taipei Beitou
The Savvy Room at Aloft Taipei
We stayed in the Savvy Room, which was quite comfortable for the two of us. The furnishings felt new, and the color palette was bright and cheerful.
Our window offered a beautiful view of Guandu. During our stay, there was a typhoon, and I was able to capture it from my window ledge:

Another great feature of this hotel is its pet policy! You can bring your pet with you, and if you book in advance at Nook, you can enjoy dining with your dog in the restaurant, which is perfect for pet lovers.
Like other Marriott hotels, we were welcomed with a thoughtful gift during our stay. On our first night, we received a basket of cherry tomatoes.

The Location of Aloft Taipei Beitou
The hotel is close to the Beitou hot springs
The hotel’s location is somewhat less convenient than one might prefer in Taipei, but it is still manageable. While a bit farther from central Taipei, you can reach Taipei Main Station in around 30 minutes. Both Beitou and Qiyan MRT stations are within a 10-minute walk. However, the walk isn’t particularly scenic, as the hotel is situated in a more residential area. It is a fantastic base for exploring Tamsui and the nearby Beitou hot springs.

Our room rate included a complimentary breakfast at Nook, which is a casual dining area located on the third floor. The terrace outside provides a spacious and relaxing spot to enjoy your meal.
An abundance of breakfast options. You can order omelets, scrambled eggs, noodles, or congee from the back counter.
Nook offers plenty of seating but can get quite busy during breakfast.
A wide variety of hot food options are available.
W XYZ(SM) Bar
W XYZ(SM) Bar, bustling with activity on weekends.
The bar is spacious and comes alive at night. During FIFA matches, the lobby fills with fans eagerly watching the game on TV.
Re:fuel by Aloft
A convenient feature of this hotel is the grab-and-go eatery for those who prefer not to step out for snacks. With the nearest Family Mart and 7-Eleven a bit of a walk away, this on-site eatery is incredibly handy. If you’re a Marriott member, you can enjoy one complimentary drink from the eatery each day.

The gym is open 24/7 and boasts a fantastic view of Taipei. I frequently stopped by to refill my water bottle, often finding it empty during my visits.

Access to laundry facilities was a significant advantage for us! There was rarely a wait to use the washing machines.
The Aloft Beitou is an excellent option for couples and families alike. We would certainly consider staying at this hotel again during our next visit to Taiwan.
