Air Serbia Announces Launch of Flights to Shanghai

Date:

Air Serbia is set to launch flights to its third destination in China, with services between Belgrade and Shanghai starting on January 11, 2025. This new route will complement the airline’s existing connections to Tianjin and Guangzhou. The flights will operate twice a week using Air Serbia’s Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Departures from Belgrade are scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturdays, with return flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. Similar to the Tianjin route, the aircraft will remain in Shanghai for over 24 hours, allowing the same crew to operate the return journey. Tickets are currently available for purchase on the airline’s website. For more flight information, click here.

Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, commented on the upcoming service, stating, “Just nine days ago, on Monday, September 30, 2024, we initiated scheduled flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou, our second destination in the People’s Republic of China, following the addition of Tianjin to our network on December 9, 2022. With the launch of direct flights to Shanghai on January 11, 2025, alongside the visa-free regime and the recently signed free trade agreement, we are fostering stronger economic relations, business ties, tourism, and cultural connections between Serbia and China. We believe that these flights will facilitate faster travel for business and tourism, as well as improve the exchange of goods and services between our two traditionally friendly nations.”
