ONE-ON-ONE WITH BRITTANY
LATM: Brittany, it’s a pleasure to have you with us. Let’s start with a fun question. What’s your favorite travel destination of all time and why?
BC: My favorite trip has to be to Puerto Vallarta, where I stayed at Hotel Mousai. We filmed Vanderpump Rules there, and I loved it so much I had to return for my 30th birthday! We rented a small yacht and spent the day watching whales—it was truly magical.
LATM: That sounds incredible! What are your top three travel essentials you can’t live without?
BC: I always bring my iPad, EarPods, and chargers because I love listening to music and watching shows while I get ready. I need sound 24/7! Skincare is also essential, especially sunscreen for those hot tropical destinations. And of course, a bottle of Casamigos Blanco—it’s not a vacation without a little tequila!
LATM: Absolutely! Can you share a travel mishap or funny story from your travels?
BC: Once, I was at a Backstreet Boys concert in Las Vegas and rolled my ankle while heading to the bathroom. It happened right in front of everyone since we were seated at the front, so the whole crowd witnessed me fall flat on my face! The hotel medics had to check on me later, but luckily it was just a rolled ankle from my heels. We laugh about it now!
LATM: Ouch! I’m glad you can look back and laugh about it. When it comes to travel, do you prefer going solo, with friends, or as part of a group?
BC: I love traveling with friends, sharing drinks, and watching movies together. We always start movies at the same time so it feels like a private theater equipped with drinks and snacks! I also enjoy traveling with my son, Cruz. He’s such a great traveler, and it’s heartwarming to see him cuddle up on the plane. Discovering new places through his eyes makes everything feel new for me as well.
LATM: That sounds like a lot of fun! Which cast member would you choose to travel with, and where would you go?
BC: Honestly, I would travel with all of them! Kristen and I have shared some unforgettable trips together.
LATM: Speaking of the cast, what attracted you to The Valley?
BC: We felt it was the right time to return to reality TV. We were excited to introduce some of our wonderful friends and showcase our lives as parents. So much has changed since our Vanderpump Rules days.
LATM: What’s one thing about The Valley that might surprise fans?
BC: We were discussing the show for at least two years, doing Zoom meetings and selecting the cast well in advance! Everyone on the show are real friends, which makes it special, just like VPR.
LATM: Can you share any memorable or funny behind-the-scenes moments?
BC: This was Cruz’s first time filming, and he was fascinated by the cameras and the buttons on the sound guy’s equipment! Additionally, my dog Kingsley loves sitting on the camera crew’s laps and sometimes licks them, making it hard not to laugh—it’s adorable!
LATM: That’s so cute! How do you and the cast members build chemistry off-screen?
BC: We’ve all been friends for years, so it comes naturally. Off-camera, we try to spend as much time together as possible and stay very involved in each other’s lives.
LATM: Can you hint at any exciting plot developments or twists coming in season 2?
BC: Season 2 is going to be wild! We start filming in July, and I can already tell it will be even more dramatic than season 1. We all have so much happening in our lives that many people will relate to.
LATM: How do you manage the pressures and expectations that come with being on a popular TV show?
BC: It can be tough at times, but I strive to remain positive and focus on the good aspects. I hope that by being open, I can help others who are going through similar situations, even if it’s just to bring them a laugh amid the chaos.
LATM: What message do you hope viewers take away from watching the show?
BC: I hope people can momentarily escape their own lives and have fun with us! Whether it’s dealing with separations, postpartum experiences, pregnancies, marriages, or friendships, I hope we provide support along the way. The show is incredibly relatable, which is a big reason for its success.
LATM: Are there any upcoming projects or plans outside the show that you’d like to share?
BC: I keep busy with various brands and projects! Our bar, Jax’s Studio City, is thriving, and our podcast “When Reality Hits” is released every Thursday wherever you listen to podcasts.
LATM: Is season 2 set to include any trips for the cast?
BC: In season 1, we went to beautiful Big Bear, but I really hope that in season 2 we get a beach destination! Mexico or the Bahamas would be ideal! [laughs]
LATM: That sounds fantastic! Brittany, thank you so much for sharing your time and stories with us. We eagerly await your journey on The Valley and beyond.
BC: Thank you! I’m excited for what’s ahead and truly appreciate all the support from our amazing fans!
