Date:

Embarking on a new adventure always calls for a gentle approach, especially when it comes to appreciating the beauty of Bukidnon. This Bukidnon Day Tour Itinerary invites you to savor the essentials, ensuring you end your day feeling fulfilled and joyful. Prepare to be awed by stunning sights and to create lasting memories.

04:00 AM: Call Time. Depart for Impasug-Ong

This itinerary is perfect for travelers coming from Cagayan De Oro, as Impasug-Ong is just a two-hour bus ride away. Feel free to kick off your journey earlier; buses depart around the clock from Agora Terminal. If you’re starting your trip from Davao, it’s a good idea to leave as early as 2 AM.

06:00 AM: Arrival at Impasug-Ong. Journey to Communal Ranch & Lover’s Lane.

Once you arrive, you can alight at the junction leading to the Impasug-Ong town center and hire a motorcycle to take you to Communal Ranch and Lover’s Lane. A round trip should cost around ₱300, although some drivers may charge more. The Communal Ranch offers breathtaking views, though it’s best to visit in the early morning or late afternoon, as the sun can be quite harsh after 8 AM.

Communal Ranch mainly offers stunning views. You could try horse riding and observe the livestock being herded to the pastures to enhance your visit. Take advantage of this time for photos and videos, spending just an hour or two before heading back and stopping by Lover’s Lane for a quick snapshot.

08:00 AM: Breakfast at Cowboy Town

One thing I truly appreciate about Bukidnon is the wide variety of restaurants offering delicious, high-quality food at reasonable prices. After starting the day with breathtaking views, it’s only fitting to enjoy a hearty breakfast. In Impasug-Ong, the best choice is Cowboy Town. This American rodeo-themed restaurant serves great food in a lovely atmosphere that keeps the excitement alive.

09:00 AM: Chase Waterfalls at CEDAR

Bukidnon is home to a variety of stunning waterfalls, many of which remain unexplored. Three accessible waterfalls can be found within CEDAR, with help from skilled tour guides. The closest is Natigbasan Falls, featuring rocky terrain. Following that is Gantungan Falls, known for its curtain-like cascades and beautiful emerald pool. The farthest and tallest among the three is Dila Falls.

11:00 AM: Kaamulan Park & Kaamulan Zoo

Don’t miss the chance to explore Malaybalay, the capital city of the province. Kaamulan Park offers a refreshing atmosphere, surrounded by pine trees and filled with the wonderful scent of pine. Additionally, a quick stop at Kaamulan Zoo to see diverse wildlife from around the world is highly recommended.

Noon: Lunch at Totsy’s

This itinerary focuses on savoring the flavors of Bukidnon. Although there are many local dining options in Malaybalay, I highly recommend Totsy’s for lunch. Located near Malaybalay’s City Hall, this restaurant features a pleasant ambiance and serves all-day breakfast, various rice bowls, delectable cakes, pastries, and desserts. Their generous portions make it a great value.

01:00 PM: Brief Stop at Malaybalay City Hall

Malaybalay City Hall is one of the most stunning municipal buildings I’ve come across in the Philippines. Perched on a hill, its immaculate white facade is truly captivating. It commands attention with a blend of power, elegance, and sophistication.

02:00 PM: Refreshing Dip in Nasuli Spring

In addition to its waterfalls, Bukidnon proudly boasts an abundance of natural cold springs scattered throughout the province. One of the most impressive I’ve come across is Nasuli Spring. Here, you’ll be enchanted by a pool of crystal-clear turquoise water, surrounded by lush foliage and ancient trees. The resort’s impeccable landscaping makes every corner picture-perfect.

04:00 PM: Coffee, Floating Cottages, & Sunset at Lake Apo

The day concludes wonderfully at Lake Apo, where you can enjoy a cottage experience while sipping a warm cup of coffee at sunset. This location is undoubtedly one of the best spots for witnessing breathtaking sunsets. The array of colors reflected by the lake during a stunning sunset creates an enchanting atmosphere, and the peacefulness of the evening provides a perfect moment to cherish.

06:00 PM: Dinner at Villa Tuna

For tuna lovers, Villa Tuna is a must-visit. This popular restaurant chain in Mindanao serves a variety of mouthwatering dishes including grilled tuna belly, kinilaw, tuna dynamite, Bicol express, adobo, and many other delicious offerings. Don’t miss out on their halo-halo and mais con yelo, which are heavenly! The combination of finely shaved ice and creamy flavors melting in your mouth is truly hard to beat.
