Charming Autumn Weather

Date:

We’re enjoying spectacular early fall weather, with perfect days that feature bright sunshine, light winds, and temperatures around 70 degrees. As you can see, the leaves are beginning to change colors, and this transformation will continue to enhance our scenery in the weeks to come.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of guiding a fisherman in the morning and leading a scenic tour in the afternoon. Both experiences took place in near-perfect conditions. Interestingly, I noticed that at this early stage of the color change, the beauty is much more striking up close than from a distance. There’s something about being just a few yards away that makes it feel more personal and impressive.

The loons have started their migration to the saltwater and can often be seen in flocks where the fishing is good, like the group shown in this picture. Though loons are generally solitary, it’s common to see small flocks during early fall in this region.

As you can imagine, I am eagerly looking forward to the coming weeks on the water, especially with the anticipated improvement in fishing as the cooler temperatures set in.
