Parking in the center of Monopoli can be quite challenging, but if you’re willing to walk a little, there are designated free parking areas available. Additionally, starting summer 2024, you can also take advantage of the “park and ride” option. Here are the details:
Starting Friday, May 17, 2024, a free park and ride service will be available from Via Ippolito Nievo – Via Cosimo Pisonio, and from June 2024, from the former fuel depot (on Via Arenazza) to the city center and back.
You can park your vehicle on Via Cosimo Pisonio or Via Ippolito Nievo, or at the former fuel depot, then take a bus that runs every 10 minutes to the city center, with a stop on Via Capitan Pirrelli near Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Both parking and round-trip transportation are free of charge.
The service operates daily from 19:00 to 01:00 from June 7 to September 15, 2024, and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from May 17 to June 2, 2024, and from September 20 to October 20, 2024.
