This free event sets the perfect mood for the holiday week, featuring a festival, parade, and live music, leading up to a spectacular fireworks display just before 9:00 PM. It’s a fantastic way to embrace the Independence Day spirit ahead of time.

If you’re in Diamondhead, you’re in for a treat! The city’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, also on Saturday, June 29th, promises a lively evening from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Harbor Drive. Bring your beach chair or blanket, savor delicious coastal cuisine, and enjoy live music, all culminating in a stunning fireworks show.

On Wednesday, July 3rd, head to Fort Maurepas Park in Ocean Springs for their Annual Independence Celebration Fireworks Show. This family-friendly event includes food, drinks, games, and live music, making it the ideal lead-up to the main event. The fireworks will begin around 9:00 PM, lighting up the sky with a brilliant showcase of color.

Independence Day Extravaganza

When July 4th arrives, Coastal Mississippi goes all out. One of the most unique ways to celebrate is by sailing on a historic Biloxi Schooner for the Biloxi Schooner Sail for 4th of July. Setting sail from the Biloxi Schooner Pier at 7:00 PM, the schooner offers a breathtaking sunset view before anchoring near Deer Island for the fireworks—a truly unforgettable experience.

For an extraordinary Independence Day celebration, head to the Biloxi Bay Bridge for the Biloxi Fireworks Show, which offers an expansive view across the Mississippi Sound. This prime location allows you to sit directly in front of the fireworks barge for a close-up view of the dazzling displays. The show starts at 9:00 PM and is synchronized to patriotic music, broadcasted on BOB 105.9. Fireworks are launched from a barge near Deer Island, with the best viewing spots from the Biloxi Lighthouse to the Biloxi Bay Bridge. A designated fireworks-free zone is also available for spectators.

The Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport will also open its doors after hours for Fins, Fireworks, & Frosty Beers. Enjoy a unique experience at the aquarium combined with fireworks on the front lawn for an unforgettable evening.

Bay St. Louis provides a picturesque backdrop for its Lighting Up Da Bay fireworks show. Beginning at 8:45 PM, this event invites you to watch the display from the beach or by boat for the best views. It’s a beautiful conclusion to a day filled with patriotic festivities.

The Fun Continues

The celebration doesn’t end on July 4th. From July 4th to 6th, the 40th Annual Our Lady of the Gulf Crab Festival in Bay St. Louis promises a weekend filled with fun, featuring arts and crafts vendors, delicious seafood, and a 5k and one-mile fun run. The festivities will conclude with a performance by Kings of Neon, making it an event you won’t want to miss.

In Gulfport, the 76th Annual Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo will take place from July 4th to 7th at the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor. The Midway opens at noon each day, featuring live music and daily weigh-ins. Make sure to catch the fireworks on Thursday at 8:45 PM, a highlight of this beloved event.

Finally, on Sunday, July 7th, conclude the festivities with the 95th Annual Blessing of the Fleet in Biloxi. This family-friendly event begins at 11:00 AM on the Great Lawn across from Harrah’s Gulf Coast. It features a Shrimp Festival, arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, and the best views for the Biloxi Boat Blessing. The ceremonial wreath dropping at 2:00 PM is a beautiful and significant tradition.
