Iris van Herpen, a Dutch fashion designer, fuses art, sculpture, and fashion in her innovative designs, earning her recognition as a visionary artist of the 21st century.
The exhibition is a collaboration between QAGOMA and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, featuring 170 items that include garments, accessories, and various sources of inspiration from her extensive career. Accompanying the visual showcase, her partner, Salvador Breed, a sound engineer, has crafted an atmospheric soundscape that enhances the exhibition experience.
We invite you to stroll through this captivating exhibition.
You truly need to experience the exquisite details of these creations in person. The exhibition includes videos showcasing behind-the-scenes moments and runway shows, along with a wealth of artistic expression. I have visited four times and find something new to admire each time.
The exhibition will be open until October 7th. I highly recommend visiting… or making it a total of four visits!
