Discovering Athens’ Flavors: Although I’m unsure if we will spend time in Athens on our upcoming trip to Greece, I’ve already saved the insightful Tasting Table article (shown above) to help us choose the best spots for coffee, drinks, snacks, or meals if we do stop by the city.
While browsing news on my phone during a gym break, I stumbled upon the article titled “16 Places to Eat and Drink in Athens, Greece.” Luckily, I didn’t have time to read it then, as Brandon Rich’s recommendations would have left me craving food for the rest of the day.
Rich highlights two cocktail bars recognized as some of the best in the world and two restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand list. I immediately recognized the names of three of the four places mentioned, along with one of several Greek tavernas he discusses. The other eateries were new to me, likely because, as Rich notes, “some of the best places to eat and drink in Athens are still flying under the radar.”
