Nova Scotia: A Hidden Treasure in Eastern Canada

Date:

Sophie from our Canada team has just returned from an amazing trip to Nova Scotia. During her stay, she enjoyed accommodations at the Cambridge Suites Halifax Hotel, conveniently located in Halifax, along with the Digby Pines Hotel. However, her favorite spot was the White Point Beach Resort.

Sophie had previously explored western Canada but this was her first journey to eastern Canada. Here’s what she had to share:

“I’ve just come back from a fantastic trip to Nova Scotia – what an incredible province! Having already visited the west of Canada, it was wonderful to experience what the east has to offer. Our first destination was the remarkable city of Halifax.

Halifax charmed me with its vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. The Harbour Boardwalk was my favorite place; it was bustling with entertainment and a rich cultural scene. The city’s history is captivating, especially its strong connections to Scotland.

Next, we traveled to Burntcoat Head Provincial Park in the Bay of Fundy, renowned for having the highest tides in the world. I had the unique experience of walking on the ocean floor during low tide. It was astonishing how quickly the water returned – within minutes, the spot I had just been standing on was submerged!

That day, I also embarked on my first-ever wine-tasting tour at the acclaimed Luckett Vineyards – what a delightful experience!

Throughout our trip, we stayed at three different hotels, but White Point Beach Resort stood out as my absolute favorite. It was breathtakingly beautiful and the ideal spot for those seeking relaxation amidst a stunning beach and abundant wildlife. One evening, as I was returning to my room, I was lucky enough to spot a deer with her fawns!

Another highlight of the trip was the food. We visited the picturesque seaport of Lunenburg and enjoyed a meal at The Old Fish Factory, where I savored the freshest seafood I’ve ever had. I finally got to indulge in the famous lobster roll.

While the entire trip was extraordinary, if I had to select one key moment, it would be witnessing the spectacular Peggy’s Cove and its iconic lighthouse – it was truly awe-inspiring! I even wore my kilt while exploring!”

Our Canada team frequently visits various destinations across the country, allowing them to explore much of Canada. This firsthand experience enables them to provide our customers with the best recommendations, sharing personal tips and insights based on their adventures.
