Each year, family-owned farms near Wichita provide beautiful pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and other autumn activities ideal for families. These are some of the finest pumpkin patches in Kansas, and they continue to improve year after year. Below, I’ve provided contact information for each farm, along with a convenient map later in this article.

Pumpkin Patches near Wichita 2024:

Here’s a list of farms within an hour’s reach of Wichita where you can pick pumpkins, enjoy a hayride, interact with farm animals, or navigate through a corn maze. (If you know of a great family farm I missed, please tell me in the comments section!)

Applejack Pumpkin Patch

Location: 10007 SW Indianola Rd, Augusta, KS 67010, (316) 733-8909 (East Wichita)

Dates: Sept. 28 – October 27, 2024

Hours:

  • Wednesdays to Fridays: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sundays: noon–6 p.m.
  • Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays

Applejack Pumpkin Patch offers a wide array of activities, including a pumpkin patch, play area, petting zoo, hayride, corn maze, zip line, and giant slide. Most activities are included in the admission price, except for pumpkins and select weekend-only activities. Note that the pumpkin cannon, paintball games, gallery, and adult pedal cars are only available on weekends. Please refrain from bringing outside food or pets.

Cost:

  • Admission is $12 if purchased online; $14 at the gate. Children aged 2 and under are free.
  • Pumpkins are sold separately.
  • Military and seniors receive a discount at the door with an ID.

Cedar Creek Farm & Pumpkin Patch

Location: 6100 N. 119th St. W., Maize, KS 67101 (Northwest of Wichita)

Dates: September 21 – October 31, 2024

Hours:

  • Tuesdays through Thursdays: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Fridays through Sundays: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Closed Mondays.

Cedar Creek Farm & Pumpkin Patch is one of the newer additions to the Wichita pumpkin patch scene. It offers various activities with admission, including a kids zone, petting zoo, barrel train, corn maze, and pony rides! Extra-ticketed activities include horse-drawn carriage tours and a pumpkin slingshot. A community fire pit can be rented for $45 per three hours (admission applies for each participant). No outside food or drinks are allowed unless you rent a fire pit.

Cost: $13 admission per person; free for kids 2 and under.

Cox Farm

Location: 6059 S. Seneca

Dates: September 30 – October 29, 2024

Hours:

  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Sundays: 1 – 6 p.m.

Come create lasting memories this season with your loved ones! You can shop for fresh produce, local cheeses, meats, honey, and various gifts. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by all the fantastic finds.

Cost:

  • General Admission is $8.
  • All-inclusive admission includes a hayride, corn maze, animal feed, inflatables, and more:

    • $15 for ages 3-7.
    • $20 for ages 8 & up.

  • Kids aged 2 and under are free.
  • $10 for laser tag.

Klausmeyer Farms Pumpkin Patch

Location: 8135 S. 119 St. West, Clearwater, KS 67026 (About 24 minutes Southwest of Wichita)

Dates: September 21 – October 31, 2024

Hours: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. every day.

  • Special Saturday Nights: October 12, 19, 26.
    • Open from 7–10 p.m. Activities include paintball and night maze walks. Admission for Saturday night includes an activity ticket.

Klausmeyer Farm features cow milking demonstrations, pick-your-own pumpkin patches, giant jumping pillows, and a five-acre crop maze. There are also hay wagon rides and a selfie station with animals! They host haunted evening activities on Friday and Saturday nights, which include a haunted house (the Barn of Fear) and night walks through the corn maze.

Costs:

  • Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is $9 on weekdays and $11 on weekends.
  • Admission for the Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze is $12 on weekdays and $15 on weekends.

Marietta Farm

Location: 1600 E. US-54 Hwy., Andover, KS 67002 (Andover, East of Wichita)

Dates: September 23 – October 31, 2024

Hours:

  • Mondays-Thursdays: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Rides, games, and concessions are not open.)
  • Fridays-Sundays: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. (Rides, games, and concessions are open!)

Marietta Farm offers a quaint, crowd-free pumpkin patch experience with numerous family-friendly activities, including a haybale maze, live animals, a zipline, multiple playgrounds, and tons of photo opportunities with their creative Haybale Barnyard. Pay-to-play activities include a train, pumpkin slingshot, carousel, bumper cars, and bungee bouncer. Note that pay-to-play activities are available on weekends; during weekdays, only the playgrounds and maze are accessible.

Cost:

  • Monday – Thursday admission: $10.
  • Friday – Sunday admission: $14.
  • Children aged 2 and under are free.
  • Discounts available for military personnel.
  • Activity tickets cost $1 each.

P and M Pumpkin Ranch

Location: 311 16th Ave, Moundridge, KS 67107 (Approximately 50 minutes North of Wichita)

Dates: September 21 – November 3 & November 9 & 10, 2024

Hours:

  • Wednesdays & Thursdays: 4 – 7 p.m.
  • Fridays: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

P and M Pumpkin Ranch offers a Western-themed, pick-your-own pumpkin patch with family-friendly activities like a double-barrel chute (an underground slide!), pedal karts, pig races, large jumping pads, wagon rides, and a candy cannon! They also provide community fire pits and numerous photo ops for fall memories, as well as snack bins if you get hungry.

Cost:

  • $15.49, with most activities included in the general admission price.
  • Pumpkins are priced separately.

Meadowlark Farm

Location: 11249 SW 160th St., Rose Hill, KS 67133 (East of Wichita)

Times: Wednesdays – Sundays: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Dates: Throughout October 2024

Visitors are encouraged to bring a knife or clippers for cutting pumpkins from the vine, although knives can also be rented. On Saturdays and Sundays, a tractor-trailer ride is available to transport guests to the patch, although walking and wagons are permissible. The farm includes picnic tables, a swing set, friendly goats, and restrooms for convenience. Inside the store, guests can enjoy various treats, such as apple cider donuts, snacks, salsas, jams, fresh-pressed apple cider, slushies, and a selection of seven hard ciders on tap.

Cost:

  • $2.50 for everyone 13 and over.
  • Large pumpkins are priced by weight, small pumpkins cost $4.00, and specialty pumpkins are individually priced.

Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch

Location: 11500 S. Hopkins Road, Assaria, KS 67416 (Approximately 1 hour North of Wichita)

Dates: September 28 – October 31, 2024

Hours: Daily from 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Night maze available by appointment.

Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch is a truly homegrown experience, situated on a rural farm spanning eight acres filled with pumpkins to pick, creative crop circle mazes, a children’s play area, farm animals, and unlimited hayrides every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Cost:

  • Admission is $8, which covers all Fall festival activities.
  • Children 3 and under are $1 per year of age.
  • Pumpkins are reasonably priced, and the owners also sell other seasonal produce.

Walters Pumpkin Patch

Location: 10001 NW U.S. Highway 77, Burns, Kansas 66840 (About 30 min. Northeast of Wichita)

Dates: Sept 21 – November 1, 2024

Hours:

  • 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays
  • Sundays: 1–7 p.m.
  • Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Walters Pumpkin Patch features a large variety of activities, including a you-pick pumpkin patch, mazes, a mega slide, a kid-sized western village, train rides, and carnival-style games, along with a two-story, 960-square-foot treehouse! They also offer nighttime ticketed activities, such as a Flashlight Maze and their famous Haunted Cannery tour, which is not suitable for young children.

Cost: General admission covers most activities but not all.

  • Weekday admission (Weds-Fri) is $16.95 – Best Deal!
  • Weekend admission (Sat & Sun) is $20.95.
  • Pumpkins are priced separately.

Location: 27799 115th Road, Arkansas City, KS

Hours: Fridays: noon to 7 p.m.; Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sundays: noon to 7 p.m. during the season.

Cost: $25 for season passes; $12 for day passes.

will not host their corn maze and pumpkin patch any longer. After 20 years of cherished memories, they have decided to focus on their Sunflower festival.
