How to Incorporate Fun and Education into Your Spring Break Plans
As Spring Break approaches, many families are thinking about beach resorts or theme parks as their go-to destinations. However, why not weave some educational experiences into your travel plans? I like to call this “Educational Broccoli”—a fun way to sneak in learning, much like hiding vegetables in kids’ spaghetti sauce. Here are several destinations for Spring Break 2023 that perfectly balance fun and education.
Indigenous Communities
Fortunately, we’re entering an era where the histories of Indigenous communities are gaining recognition. In both Australia and Canada, Indigenous people are enriching cultural experiences at vacation spots. If you’re traveling to Australia, consider visiting a National Park, exploring ancient eel farms, or journeying along the Ningaloo coast to see evidence of early Aboriginal life. In Canada, you can choose to stay at Indigenous-owned establishments such as the Haida House or the Nemiah Valley Lodge.
Bora Bora
If you’re dreaming of a tropical getaway, Bora Bora offers the complete package.
