We stayed at the campground until mid-afternoon. I worked on a few small projects on Igor while Ruth organized and labeled some photos.
It was quite chilly overnight! We tested the old electric heater; while it does function, it doesn’t produce nearly as much heat as a 1500-watt heater should.
We’ve decided it’s time for a new one. Luckily, Walmart has one on sale for just $20.
I replaced the overflow tube for the fresh water tank. The previous owners had left it unattached so that it would drain into a plastic bag if there was an overflow. Unfortunately, they didn’t complete the job correctly! It was challenging to connect it, which explains why they probably didn’t bother, but I managed to get it done.
The clear plastic piece is the overflow tube I installed.
Getting my hand into the other end to put the clamp on was very difficult!
The old tube had accumulated 31 years’ worth of grime inside.
Later in the afternoon, we visited my mom, then headed to Walmart to buy the new heater for $23, taxes included. It should work just fine!
As we left Walmart, it started drizzling, and some unusual clouds began forming in the sky. As we got closer to the campground, I decided to stop at the equestrian park to take some photos…
Very strange.
We did receive about an hour of rain accompanied by lightning, but fortunately, we made it back to Igor without getting wet.
