Day 1
Upon arrival at San Cristobal Airport, you will be taken to your hotel. After lunch, your adventure begins as you kayak along the coast of San Cristobal. As you approach the port, you’ll encounter amazing wildlife, including sea lions lounging on the beach. You may also spot marine iguanas, Blue-Footed Boobies, Frigate Birds, and pelicans, among others. The day ends at Frigate Bay, where you can swim with the sea lions for an unforgettable experience. You will spend the night in San Cristobal.
Day 2
On the second day, choose between visiting Kicker Rock or Lobos Island. Lobos Island is ideal for those interested in seeing sea lion colonies. While hiking, keep an eye out for Blue-Footed Boobies, marine iguanas, and Frigate birds, and you might even spot stingrays and turtles.
If you opt for Kicker Rock, you’ll have the chance to snorkel and explore the stunning volcanic formation in the ocean. Swim alongside turtles, sharks, rays, and even hammerhead sharks!
Day 3
On the third day, visit Tijeretas Bay, where you can scuba dive if you wish, and explore the Giant Turtle breeding center. Your final stop for the day will be El Junco Lagoon, the only freshwater source across all the islands.
Day 4
Day four takes you on a speedboat to Santa Cruz, where you’ll observe the Giant Tortoise in its natural habitat. You’ll also visit the Charles Darwin Station, an international scientific research facility where you can learn about the unique climate, natural history, and geology of the islands.
Day 5
On the fifth day, you’ll bike to “Muro de las Lagrimas” (The Wall of Tears) while enjoying spectacular beach views. Alternatively, you can embark on a private kayaking tour in the bays of Villamil and Tintoreras.
Day 6
Day six features a hike to Sierra Negra Volcano and Volcano Chico, where you’ll be treated to sights of the second-largest volcanic crater in the world.
Day 7
On your final full day, you can explore the Cabo Rosa lava tunnels, enjoy a deep-sea dive, or swim with various marine life. Please note that the visit to these lava tunnels lasts about five hours, so plan accordingly with water, sunscreen, and some snacks.
